Dear Customers, Price Increase 1st July 2023 on all ROASTED COFFEE BEANS -
As most of you are aware there have been some very large increases to freight, importing, manufacturing, employment, and utility costs over the last two years.
We have held our ground not passing on, and absorbing the green bean price increases over the last 12 - 24 months on all our per kilo coffee prices.
Mainly because we lived in hope to see some reductions on our cost to produce, but this has not happened (in fact has become worse) and green beans keep going up, or are just not available at the premium end due to huge hikes at origin.
Unfortunately, we are starting to fall way behind with some large increases now being felt across our premium green bean ingredients.
For Example: a tonne of green coffee costing an extra $5/kg green (depending on origin and grade) is an extra $5000 or so on the same invoice (for the same product) and we cannot continue as a local family business to wear those increased costs.
We DO NOT want to reduce our quality and buy cheaper ingredients so we have no choice.
We advise that on the 1st July our coffee prices for roasted and ground coffee will increase between 5% – 8% per kilo depending on blend and volume sold of that blend.
